The recent buzz on acne treatments

You're here because you're looking for acne treatment that will finally work, right? You don't want to waste your money, do you? Good ... so please read on.

Many of my readers have had their skin turn ugly with unsightly blackheads and spots, and have asked me what could I recommend to prevent further infection and return their skin to clear state ... and FAST! Nobody wants ugly skin that will gross out people when you go to school, office or just eat out.

So what should a person do?

The big buzz as of late in the acne skin care circles have been all natural organic treatments that help suppress infection from growing inside-out. Some of the ingredients used in newer acne treatments are Aloe Vera and Calendula Extracts.

Aloe vera has a long history as a safe, effective medicine and skin care aid. For over 6,000 years, people have benefited from the remarkable relief that the plant can bring to a wide range of ailments. The ancient Egyptians used Aloe to heal battle wounds and cure infections.

It's very different from older acne treatments that only that use harsh chemicals. There are some popular prescription and over-the-counter medications that work, but after a couple of days the blemishes come back and some of them dries out the skin, so that it was red and burning. Furthermore it is hard to find a treatment designed for body acne.

I don't know about you but I really don't trust big pharmacy companies to make health decisions for me especially if they are using artificial ingredients that have no basis in nature to treat a simple problem of acne infection.

So it's important to create an environment for the skin prevent acne infection from growing inside-out. Technically the infection appears when the oil called sebum is blocked inside the pore. Although you shouldn't even try to eliminate sebum from your body! When it isn't blocked in your pores, sebum helps keep your skin healthy. I'm not going to go into a lot of detail here about what sebum is and its basis in science - you can research that on your own if you want.

Why did I do this study?

As you probably already know, I work in a nail and skin salon, so I do a lot of pore cleansing, masks, hydrations and other skin procedures on my clients. I have the pleasure of meeting all kinds of great people in the salon - those with fabulously great skin, and those that need a lot of help!

Many of my friends and people that I know asked me about what works for blocked pores, and many were going to try various treatments regardless of what I told them, so I asked if I could document their results.

I actually had over 15 people on some kind of problem skin treatment last year. Some of the products they used ranged from traditional cheap over-the-counter medications to organic home remedies but I'm only going to cover a few of them here right now that we saw great results with.

Wayne's Story

Wayne, 27 y.o., was one our best test cases in the treatment of problem skin and the inspiration behind today's post.
